The Florida Justice Impact Project (FJIP), sponsored by Forgotten Majority, Inc., is slated to open its doors July 1, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida.
This legal enterprise will offer Criminal Defense services to local residents who are economically disadvantaged, as determined by Federal Poverty Guidelines. In addition, they will respond to reports of inmate abuses and follow these cases from start to finish. Legal services rendered by the Florida Justice Impact Project are unprecedented!
The FJIP is working in conjunction with the Florida Coastal School of Law to staff the Enterprise with brilliant, client-friendly attorneys who have just passed the Bar. These attorney will have feasible caseloads that will allow ample client-attorney time. Former Institutional Law Clerks are welcome to apply for positions as Legal Assistants but will be required to obtain paralegal certification if selected.
Fund Raising for this Project has been arranged with Krispy Kreme. The purchase of a certificate for one dozen donuts will greatly assist with start-up costs and level the legal playing field for those who cannot afford private representation. The time has now come when those who can least afford it will have access to a stellar criminal defense team.
Fundraiser details will be posted soon.
