REFORMATION OF MANDATORY MINIMUM LAWS

Families Against Mandatory Minimums

HEEDING THE CALL FROM FAMILIES AGAINST MANDATORY MINIMUMS FOR OFFENDERS WITH MANDATORY MINIMUM SENTENCES IN THE FOLLOWING STATES.

  • Pennsylvania
  • Florida
  • Iowa
  • Nebraska
  • Missouri
  • Louisiana
  • Oklahoma
  • Kentucky
  • Ohio

FAMM will be sharing the stories of those affected by mandatory minimum sentencing within these states with lawmakers and the community.  Unfortunately, not every case will work, but please let us know if you have loved ones who might be good candidates and who would want us to tell their story. It is important that the cases meet the following criteria so we have the best chance of success.

  • Mandatory minimum cases only
  • Low-level drug and gun cases, or distributing within 1000 ft. of a school
  • Minor criminal history, or first-time offenders
  • No violence

If you know of anyone who fits this category and would like to participate, please contact Forgotten Majority by email at: editor@forgottenmajority.net and provide as many details of the case including case number, name, state, and judge’s comments about the sentence if available.
